Meet Dr. Sara Youner
“When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything.”
– Lao Tzu –
I understand the physical challenges of being a mother and having a career!
I’ve been single, married, pregnant, post-partum, lactating, carpool mom, peri=menopausal, menopausal, and have made it to the other side.
And that is why I am passionate about helping you!
My path to Morning Light Acupuncture has been long and indirect: pre-med, to English Major, to a corporate librarian, to law student, lawyer, mom, lactation consultant, volunteer EMT, and finally, an acupuncturist.
I attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine as a part-time student while working in a law practice. I enjoyed my contrasting life. I worked for a medical collections practice; our most prominent clients were hospitals seeking to pay their bills. My job involved mostly hounding insurance companies to make good on claims and occasionally going to court against an actual debtor. School was learning Chinese medicine, Western physiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and, best of all, the clinic.
I loved talking to patients and figuring out their best treatment plans. The common denominator of both parts of my life was problem-solving. How can I get this bill paid versus how can I help this patient feel better?
I have finally ended up in a space where the accumulation of my skills and knowledge can best help you.
I look forward to partnering with you for better health.
